BVI Catamarans

side-img

The majority of charter yachts in the Virgin Islands are catamarans, due to their popularity among yacht owners for being great charter yachts. Catamarans offer equal cabins, double beds, and ensuite bathrooms, ideal for couples paying equal portions of the charter fee.  Cockpits are on the same level as the saloon for indoor/outdoor living, making them ideal for people with disabilities, and their galleys are most often located in the saloons, making them easier for stewardesses to serve meals in the cockpit. Catamarans are fast-sailing, stable at sea, and well-ventilated with many opening hatches and air-conditioning.  Their pontoons are filled in with nets or trampolines forward, so there is ample deck space for sunbathing. Sleeping cabins spread out around the ship make them more private.

The BVI Catamarans are operated by experienced crew, mostly from the United States and South Africa (where many catamarans are built). They serve beautiful meals, offer lots of sports equipment, including scuba gear, and they enjoy people, children and all sorts of activities.

BVI Catamarans are easily some of the finest operated, best decorated, professionally run, fun charter yachts in the world. Beds are turned down at night with chocolates placed on the pillow. Yachts are beautifully decorated, luxuriously equipped, and their attractive crew offer “white-glove” service. Regardless of size, these sailing vacations are a luxurious experience.

Many catamarans in Tortola and St. Thomas carry scuba gear for certified divers. On yachts that have dive instructors, those yachts can offer the Resort Course to novices and certify guests with Open Water I. The larger catamarans might surprise guests by offering a Passport Party,  where yachts are dressed according to a country and the evening meal reflects that country’s cuisine. If you are celebrating a birthday, let our professional chefs bake a cake for you. If you are celebrating an anniversary or honeymoon, ask about our honeymoon and anniversary specials. If you are renewing your vows, let our captains officiate for you. Celebrating a graduation? Our crews enjoy families with teens and small children, offering children-friendly watersports. Dining is always a gourmet experience. Be prepared for haute Caribbean cuisine – and top notch service. Expect to be pampered. Our clients say our charter yachts provide the most relaxing luxury experience.

Costs – Weekly rates for crewed catamarans in the Virgin Islands include food fuel, bar, and dockage – they are all-inclusive – so you know how much you are going to spend before you leave home.   Rates are quoted by the week for the party as a whole and slide according to the number of people in the party, so you need only to bring cash for a 10% gratuity and shore-excursions, possibly for scuba diving as well.  Catamarans accommodate 2 to 12 guests and base in either St. Thomas or Tortola.  Yachts charge a premium at Christmas and New Year’s.  Rates are usually the same in summer as they are in winter; many of them offer year-round ‘Specials,’ however.  Please inquire about Half-Board and Captain-Only Rates.  August and September is hurricane season.  To get the best yacht, please book a year in advance.
