The opportunities for adventure are endless.
Your charter cruise is a personal experience. Pure excitement, pure
relaxation, or anything in between. Nicholson Yacht Charters has many
privately-owned yachts available for charter. Each is its own special
adventure, but in order for you to select what is best
for you, you'll need to make some decisions.
The first thing you'll want to think about is how involved you will
want to be. Do you picture yourself at the helm with the crew at your
command, or would you rather relax on the deck and soak up the sun? You decide.
CHARTER OPTIONS Crewed Yachts This is our specialty at Nicholson Yacht Charters. You're always welcome to help sail, but here there's no need to be an experienced yachtsman. On these craft you are our guest. And a pampered guest you will be, taken care of by professional chefs, uniformed stewards, your qualified captain, and congenial crew. Something new and exciting to see each day, and you don't have to think of a thing. Tandem Cruising The ideal option for larger parties or incentive groups. Several yachts cruise in company, sometimes racing by day, and always rendezvous by night. Weather conditions permitting, the craft will raft together each night so that guests can move easily from one vessel to another. A fabulous group charter experience. Captain Only Perhaps there is less luxury on this type of cruise, but oh, the things you will see and the things you will learn! Total involvement is the best teacher, and your experienced captain will guide you as you crew the ship, take the helm, prepare the meals, navigate, and trim the sails. Your very own cruise. Tall Ship Cruises These cruises are pre-scheduled and you can join in the fun. Book a single bunk or full cabin, then join new friends and the crew for all the excitement. A particularly great choice for the single traveler. TYPES OF YACHTS The next thing you will need to consider is what sort of craft you prefer. Does your cruising adventure include the rush of excitement you feel as the sails catch the wind and you start to fly? Or is motoring across crystal clear waters more what you have in mind? It's your choice. Classic Sail These are the yachts of old. Beautiful, timeless lines, clipper bows, counter sterns, and thin waists. Many of these fine vessels are museum quality, crafted of fine woods. A classic such as this may have a bit less living space, but the teak decks and sea-faring beauty are yours for a week you'll never forget. Cruising Sail These yachts have a pleasant blend of performance and comfort. You'll find large, awning covered cockpits, open deck spaces, and a craft you can fall in love with. Most are made of modern materials, and many include such special touches as double beds, thick, pile carpets, air conditioning, larger bathrooms, and sunken bathtubs. These are perhaps not the fastest boats on the water, but who's in a hurry? Performance Sail Sailing at its most exhilarating. You climb to windward for the thrill of a lifetime as the ship heels and the keel grips the water. Your sails steady the motion of the sea and your adventure has just begun. There is nothing else like it. Multihulls These are very special craft, stable at sea with masses of deck space and cool, private and well-ventilated cabins. Your vessel is fast downwind and has an exceptionally shallow draft, so you can anchor in as little as three feet of water. Take to the blue water and wade to shore. Motor Yachts For the ultimate in comfort and luxury, there is nothing like motor cruising for speed under way, sophisticated service, and many offer such amenities as Jaccuzzi, one-way windows, and spiral staircases. This is your best choice when you really want to be pampered.
