This breathtaking 76’ by 38’ catamaran, AKASHA, is so large, she has more than enough room to accommodate up to ten guests – five couples – or families of 7 to 10 – in five enormous, air conditioned guest cabins, four of which have Queen beds (one converts to a Twin) and the fifth cabin is an “on-deck” master with King, and all cabins have a private, ensuite bathroom.  Guests can run the AC 24/7, as the crew never turn off the generator….  Guests can shower as long as they want, because AKASHA has a water maker that makes 90 gallons of water per hour…. Each cabin has a flat screen TV with DVD player.  The master cabin “on-deck” has panoramic views of the cruising ground and no steps; it’s located just forward of the main saloon on deck level and has forward-facing windows to the cruising ground beyond….

The crew of four hails from Mexico, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.  Chef Briar has received culinary training at Ashburton Culinary School in the UK, as well as advanced training at Gastronomicom in France, a Michelin star International training Academy.  Any kind of dietary requirement is accommodated; Briar’s meals are stunning to look at, as well as to taste.  Captain Oswaldo is knowledgeable of all the Eastern Caribbean islands between St. Thomas and Grenada, but cruises usually start and end in Tortola.  From July to October, AKASHA bases in the Grenadine Islands. The crew is chosen as much for their fun-loving personalities, as well as for their sailing experience.

AKASHA’s spacious main saloon is dedicated to guests’ entertaining.  It has a bar with stools, enormous lounge with removable dining table, and magnificent Bose sound and visual equipment.  It has a feeling of space….duplicated in each of the five guest cabins….and flybridge.  It adjoins the cockpit, which has no steering controls; this space is completely private for the use of guests and has sunbathing mattresses and out of door dining facilities; all the sailing is done from the flybridge upstairs, which also acts as a lounge, where there is enough room for 10 guests and 4 crew, complete with sunbathing mattresses, lounge, and bimini awning, offering magnificent views of the cruising ground, stars, and sunsets….

AKASHA offers scuba instruction, and she also has two Sunfish sailing dinghies, fun for racing each other in port….relay races around that island and back; the first mate shows you how to sail it…. AKASHA offers a vast amount of other sporting activities… Her tender is an 18’ inflatable hard bottom dinghy with 90 hp outboard that seats 8…. Akasha’s stewardess turns down bunks at night and sets a pretty dining table.  This is a spacious yacht with good crew, excellent food and top notch accommodations – the best!

Weddings Afloat – Think S/Y “Akasha” for wedding plans in the Virgin Islands….With plenty of space she is the perfect platform for a group event, and she has a highly motivated crew to take care of every detail.
