Available year round in the Abacos and Exumas, the 56′ Lagoon catamaran AMURA II is positioned in the Bahamas right at the time of year when the weather is most pleasant: late winter/early Spring. This yacht is just as happy picking up a charter in Marsh Harbour as she is Nassau or Staniel Cay or Georgetown in the Exumas, and she charters for $20,000 to $26,000 a week plus expenses for two to eight guests, plus 4% Bahamian Tax. Christmas and New Year rates are the same plus 10%. When rates do not include food, fuel, or bar, it is customary to send a 20% to 30% APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) to the Stakeholder 30 days in advance of the charter (or less), so the crew can provision. At the end of the charter, the captain will produce full accounts of all expenditure. You will either be refunded any money not used or asked to pay any additional costs not covered by the APA. Charter crews will never bill for a tip, or ask for a tip, but in the charter business, it is customary to tip the crew between 5% and 20% of the charter fee, scaled up or down, depending on degree of service. The amount given is for the charterer’s discretion. AMURA II has four equal guest Queen cabins, each with private bathroom for parties of up to eight.
CAPTAIN: Christian Atal
Christian was born and raised in Santiago de Chile. At a young age he moved away from the city and discovered his passion for the sea. He became a dive instructor and captain. With his first sail boat, he started leading diving expeditions when he decided to pursue a life that would allow him to live full-time on sea. He sailed through Chile’s southern shores, all the way up north to Mexico and the Caribbean where he has spent the last fifteen years. In 2013 Christian has found his new paradise and home – the islands of the Bahamas. Other than sailing and travelling, Christian has a passion for fitness, yoga and healthy food. As the skipper of yacht AMURA II, with around 45.000 sea miles, Christian is a well-experienced sailor who would love to take you to the most beautiful islands of the Bahamas.
CHEF/HOSTESS: Marie Kreibich

As healthy food lovers, Captain Christian and Marie are taking pride to do their best in purchasing the freshest and organic ingredients and supporting local farmers and businesses.
