My favorite yacht in Greece! Accents of red on light gray upholstery around the natural teak dining table on the aft deck; two modern, lime green modern L-shaped couches facing each other around a glass coffee table on a gray area rug in the saloon. Beautifully set dining table forward with white dinner plates and long stem glasses. Red and tan stainless steel dining room chairs. Two red velvet rose petal stainless steel arm chairs opposite. Purple float lights lining the edges of the couches and down the stairwell to the guest cabins. Strong, red and black modern focal art hung on a strategic wall forward of the saloon. Cut-outs in the bulwarks under the extra large glass windows in the saloon specially made to let in lots of light. The brochure pictures on AURORA do not do the yacht justice.
Built in 2011, this 100′ Tecnomar motor yacht, AURORA, is not at all shabby or dated. The full beam master cabin below with maroon throws, tufted white leather headboard, King bed with silverish textured spread – stunning! Two Twins each have Pullmans and convert to doubles; two VIP Queen cabins once again offer modern appointments. Each stateroom is appointed similarly. Each bathroom has vessel sinks. Every stateroom has TV with DVD.
AURORA’s owners are pleased to offer guests a captain with cargo ship experience, as well as Passenger ship experience, and private yacht experience. Before joining AURORA, Captain Yannis ran a larger private luxury yacht; he joined AURORA in 2014, but seems to be staying. (One wonderful thing about Greek crew is they stay with the same ship for several years.) Chef George joined the ship after 2014, but Anna, the pretty chief stewardess, is from the Ukraine; she married a Greek and now calls Greece home. The entire crew of six are elegant.
AURORA is a flybridge motor yacht with striking lines and no sky lounge. The open-air flybridge has a handsome, natural teak dining table with Director’s chairs that drops down to form a sun bed in white with red bolsters. The crew can rig an awning over the top of it for shade at anchor. They grill up there and serve meals in beautiful harbors…
The piece de la resistance is the Jacuzzi on the coach roof forward with surrounding sun pad and towel art. Believe it or not, Jacuzzis are a rare to find on yachts in the Mediterranean, Europeans preferring to bath in the ocean. M/Y AURORA is ready to accept charters for the summer season 2017 in East Med. Discover the spectacular crystal clear water of the Ionian Islands and the unique coasts of the Cyclades, while cruising with the stylish, sportive and modern M/Y AURORA.
