Available for charter from the central Mediterranean including Corsica, Sardinia and the Balearic Islands, the 106′ classic Holland Yachtbowe sloop, EMMALINE, is a wonderful option for romantic couples charter or families of six or two couples… She has a full beam honeymoon suite aft with King bed aft plus two guest cabins forward, one with narrow double, the other a Twin with pullman. All have private bathroom.
The yacht’s British crew are the best thing about this yacht. Sarah, the stewardess, is a consummate host and when I was aboard was serving sushi and smoothies in the deck house aft. Rose petals had been dropped on the bed to indicate that the yacht is ideal for romantic charters, complete with fairy lighting. Sarah does dinner for two on the bow with candles and music. It’s a centrally located king bed with steps leading up to it with couch on one side and TV behind the varnished bulkhead on the other. The WC is in a separate room from the sink and shower. The classic detailing of this yacht exudes old world charm, yet the yacht was built in 2003, and does an easy 9 knots with her light, carbon mast, and easy to sail rig. EMMALINE was built along the lines of an older version yacht, but she herself was built new in 2003.
There is a crew of four including her captain, first mate, chef, and stewardess…. Fergus Rae, the captain, comes from England… Sarah the stewardess is also English, plus there’s Cleo the chef. Three girls and one gentleman run this beautiful classic ship. The crew sleep forward over the bow and have their own separate entrance, assuring lots of guest privacy…. Sun beds on the bow and around stern allow for plenty of sunbathing, and the bowsprit on straight stem bow is handsome and harks back to days gone by.
The yacht has two cockpits that you have to climb into…. One is a private cockpit for guests using the master cabin aft and has steps leading down below into the master bedroom. The other is amidships with folding dining table that expands to accommodate six guests for dining. A fold out swim platform offers easy access into the sea for swimming.
EMMALINE’s charming main saloon is located beyond and through the deckhouse below and has a dining alcove that folds away for children to be able to watch TV. The galley is forward of the saloon, as are the two guest cabins, which are mirror images of each other, only one has a narrow double; the other is a twin with third, additional, Pullman folding berth for an extra child. The yacht has been long time chartering, but only two years with Fergus and Sarah aboard, but one of those two years that Fergus and Sarah have been aboard Laura and Cleo have been with them…. All the fixtures on this elegant yacht are squeaky clean. The bygone elegance, the maintainance of the yacht, and the crew are why we adore and recommend this exceptional yacht.
