Captain Brian Kfoury:
Born on Long Island, NY Brian’s parents introduced him to the family passion and had him sailing and racing at a young age. Eventually spending most of his life on the water year-round in Southern California with various opportunities to learn and follow his passion. Brian spent several years running various yachts out of Newport Beach, California. Always eager to further his experience and knowledge on the water, Brian spent some time in the commercial maritime industry and operating tour boats in the Hawaiian Islands. Looking for new challenges in the maritime world, Brian came to Ft. Lauderdale in 2014 to start a new boating chapter.
Brian enjoys the challenge of showing guests new harbors, islands and beaches, and allowing them to relax and enjoy their time away from their responsibilities back home. Always jumping at the chance to give everyone aboard a safe and memorable experience on the water.
Brain also enjoys photography, windsurfing, sailing, free and scuba diving, and the restoration of classic cars when.
His travels, by sail and ship, have taken him through most of Polynesia, Fiji, New Zealand, Tonga, Alaska, Mexico, Panama, Rio De Janero, Caribbean, England, Ireland, and Scotland. Languages: Some Spanish, Pigin Hawaiian.
Stewardess Stasea Arnold:
Originally from Arizona and Southern California, Stasea lived on an Indian reservation in Arizona until she was 10 years old and then went back-and-forth between Arizona (near Sedona) and California. With adventure and travel in her blood, Stasea moved to Hawaii when she was 21. She spent 25 years living in Hawaii. While on the Islands Stasea got involved in the service industry, eventually training staff at the notable Four Seasons Resort. Always on the lookout for challenges, Stasea stepped into luxury vacation rentals and management for some of the islands most exclusive properties.
In May 2015 she jumped at the opportunity to start something new with a handsome sailor and joined a large sailing yacht with her partner Brian.
“The thing I enjoy most about working on the boat is seeing people’s reactions to the presentation and beauty of it. My most important roll on board is making special connections with guests and providing superb service.”
In her free time, Stasea enjoys any type of physical fitness- Yoga, Jogging, Body surfing.
Her travels have taken her to Bali, Fiji and most recently this last year experiencing the east coast and history of the New England area. Stasea along with her fellow crew look forward to welcoming you aboard GALE WINDS.
Chef Michael Brandt:
Michael’s passion for food started when he lived in New Orleans taking culinary courses in high school and competing in local and state culinary competitions, during a contest Michael caught the attention of Chef John Besh. After a long conversation with Michael, Chef Besh brought Michael into Restaurant August and trained him for two years. After graduation Michael attended Johnson and Wales University where he studied baking and pastry. Upon leaving Johnson and Wales Michael ran several restaurants as the executive chef and pastry chef. Growing tired of the routine of restaurant life Michael made the transition to yachting which coming from a coast guard family was an easy move. Michael has been working on yachts for 7 years now and has been the chef on several charter vessels as well as private yachts.
Mate / Stew Jennifer Egli
American born Mate / Stew Jennifer Egli has been living in the Bahamas for the past 6 years working on various yachts both private and charter. In her spare time Jennifer enjoys a healthy lifestyle, doing anything outdoors and staying fit and exercising. Watersports, exploring new beaches, collecting shells, paddle boarding, photography, and just relaxing on the ocean are some of her favorite things!
“I find my true passion being outdoors, working the exterior, learning new things about the engine room, operations, navigation and deck.”
Jennifer recently completed her 100 ton Masters License and is continuing to further her education in the Maritime Industry as often as she can to support her goal of becoming a Captain.
MASTER STATEROOM: Below deck, full beam master with centerline King bed and his/her bath. There is a vanity table and chair to starboard and an adjacent study with a pull out sofa bed and library. The Master Stateroom has a HDTV flat screen with a DVD player, satellite receiver, and stereo. There is ample storage with drawer storage and a large closet. There are two separate entrances to the en-suite his-and-hers bathroom with twin sinks, and separate stall shower and tub.
2 EQUAL VIP STATEROOMS: below deck, forward. Each has a Queen size bed and an en-suite head with shower. The entertainment in each of these staterooms features a flat screen TV with DVD player, satellite receiver, and stereo.
FORWARD VIP: Forward of the galley. Raised Queen size bed with en-suite head and shower. The stateroom features a flat screen TV with DVD player, satellite receiver and stereo.
MAIN SALON: 50” Plasma TV with comfortable seating, a large coffee table and Bar. Dining table for eight, and access to dayhead.
AFT DECK: Electric glass doors open from the Main Salon to the Aft Deck, which has covered al fresco dining with a settee. The Aft Deck has access to the swim platform and to the bridge deck.
FLYBRIDGE: Aft of the pilot house is a large expanse of covered and sunny deck space including a full bar, BBQ, Jacuzzi, ample seating and table areas.
