Named for the owner’s wife & children’s initials, the brand new, 2015-built, 95’ Ferretti JAG’B sails from San Raphael near San Tropez in the South of France, just 90 minutes from Nice International Airport and has a cruising speed of 18 knots. Consuming 500 to 600 liters of fuel per hour, the stern sports sunbathing cushions under which is a Lazarette with hatch that pops up exposing a garage for the Williams turbojet tender and water sports equipment (which includes a jet ski) plus swim platform that drops down into the water, great for swimming, boarding the dinghy, and launching the tender. It’s also a fun place to take a sundowner and dangle your toes in the water and watch the sun go down…
French captain Dominic Ideia has more than 40 years yachting experience in the Mediterranean and is assisted by three crew, including a first mate, chef, and stewardess. During high season they get a second stewardess as well.
Although only 95 feet, JAG’B sports five spacious guest cabins, including an “on deck” full beam master with marvelous marble bathroom with jet tub, heated towel racks, dual sinks, and glassed in marble shower, plus four identical, square, large, spacious mirror-image guest cabins below, each with wide double bed, each beautifully decorated in golds, browns, and whites, each with large window, and each with private bathroom with stall shower, great for couples looking to pay equal shares in the charter fee.
There is no sky lounge on JAG’B, but the sun deck is enormous with al fresco dining, bar with grill, wet bar, steering station, and a Jacuzzi.
A brand new boat, launched in 2015, the saloon has lots of natural light, white wood floors, white gloss paneling, white sofas with turquoise and navy blue color coordinated throw cushions – perfect! The colors pop! There’s a small, dark-gray shag carpet under the coffee table and light grey paneling around the windows, a glass dining table forward, and lots of objects d’art – sculptures and shining art with textures – absolutely beautiful!
