NADIYA, the 47 ft. Robertson & Caine (2004) catamaran has an experienced charter crew. Her second season on NADIYA, 43-year old, female, guitar-playing captain Colleen Korona grew up in Florida and owned her first sailboat by the age of 24. She lived in the Bahamas and has sailed the whole Eastern Seaboard of the United States before sailing to the BVI, where she now begins her second season aboard NADIYA. Before running NADIYA, she worked on the classic schooner TALOFA; before that FREEDOM, SATISFACTION, DARK STAR, and as crew aboard mega yachts in New England. Matt Proto, an experienced chef and scuba instructor, offers a foodie dive cruise. Using 40% local foods, Matt cooks with local callilou, mutton, and fish, and prepares Indian, Thai, and Latin American cuisine and gives interactive food demos. Sleeping six guests in three Queen cabins, NADIYA offers guests a brand new dinghy this year: a 12 ft. AV dinghy with 30 hp outboard; Matt is now offering Scuba instruction; guests with no prior dive experience can dive with Matt from the yacht. NADIYA now has a defibrillator and oxygen tank… There is all new snorkeling gear aboard….and new linens, and they have brand new fishing poles; 2 trolling and 2 casting rods – and a brand new mandatory fishing license; the yacht has underwater lights. Throw pillows in the 3 pretty, equal guest cabins say Keep Calm and Beach On! Matt and Colleen are a cute couple!
