XENIA 50 – This fine Privilege 50’ catamaran is run by chefs, who also sail. This year Peter is the captainm but some years Jade runs as captain and Peter acts as chef. A perfect match, a cute, delightful couple from Detroit, who love children, who met in Antigua, who recently married. Aboard a long time, both are the winners of several cooking awards for competing in the charter yacht culinary competition in Tortola.
And what a deluxe yacht XENIA 50 is too. Owned by a company that owns Xenia 62 and Xenia 72 (the numbers denote their size), all of them Privileges, known for their highly varnished maple interior, which is warm, beautiful and highly varnished, creating a classic feel inside, the interior of XENIA 50 is modern and updated too; her spa showers are something! They have “surfboard” jets – the bathrooms on the vessel are updated; and there are all manner of coffee and espresso machines and teak decks too. The yacht offers quality and comfort.
The yacht has three staterooms, two forward and one aft to starboard, all with Queen size berths with windows in the hull, Apple TV, and Direct TV. Jade loves children and has Mermaid outfits aboard that you can swim in. She decorates the cabins for children with themes of rolled towels and puts games and beach bags on the beds in beautiful displays for guests. All the linen and mattresses are hypoallergenic, and Peter runs the AC all night long, if guests want.
The saloon has yellow suede naugahyde upholstery, the cabins are in purple, rich colors that complement the varnished paneling inside. There is no fly bridge, but there are cushions and bean bags on the bow, and Jade serves cocktails there. The yacht performs beautifully under sail. Without having that fly bridge tower onboard, he can trim the sails, and the yacht is lighter for it.
Salon seating for 6 guests for formal dining, seating for 6 guests for alfresco dining, top deck lounge (helmsman station) and forward deck lounge areas. 13 opening ports plus salon door opens full 1.5m wide. Yacht is fully air-conditioned for clients comfort at all times.
