This fine 46′ Leopard catamaran ZOE, built by Robertson & Caine Shipyard in South Africa in 2008 and refitted in 2015 is a great way to cruise the British Virgin Islands for less…. Available with captain only, guests help with the sailing and do their own cooking , yet explore the Virgin Islands aboard a luxury catamaran, operated by an experienced captain Christopher Clarke from Ireland, who knows where all the best snorkeling and scuba diving sites are; he can direct you to picturesque and tasty restaurants, bars, and jump ups on the beach.  And he gets you there safely….

Says Christopher:  “I grew up in the rolling grassy hills of Ireland. My upbringing was pretty typical of the area. Running through the countryside kicking pebbles or lumps of turf until my mother would beckon me with the bröchucklá (a tiny french horn) to help hockle the freshly caught cockles and clambacks from our family’s shelling dower.”  Chris has a lyrical gift for sure!  You can read more about him via the link below.

ZOE accommodates parties of two to eight in four private, air conditioned, identical Queen staterooms placed in all four corners of the ship.   Chris sleeps in one of the fore peaks…  Each cabin has a private bathroom with electric head and stall shower.

ZOE offers indoor/outdoor dining tables, both of which seat 8 people comfortably, deck shower, swim platform and swimming ladders; 9KW generator, AC (will run all night for a $50 fee), iPod dock, Bimini awning for shade at sea, as well as a 16′ inflatable hard bottom dinghy with 25 hp outboard (seats 8), two stand up paddle boards, and 8 sets of snorkel equipment.

ZOE picks guests up in Trellis Bay, right near the Tortola airport.  Cruises begin in Tortola but do not go to the US Virgin Islands…  This is not because the captain won’t clear customs into the USVI; it’s because he cannot, and there is so much to see in the BVI’s alone, including beautiful Anegada, 18 miles distant, which takes a day to get to, a day to see, and a day to get back, and then you still have Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, Peter Island, Norman Island, and Cooper Island to see.
