Description:

BETTER DAYS – The owners have given us a beautifully equipped, deluxe, 51’ Lagoon catamaran to charter with all the bells and whistles (including plenty of air conditioning, natural light, modern furniture, gorgeous staterooms, and teak decks) for families of six or three couples, who like sailing, diving and being active, plus a cute young crew from the United States, Connor and Brianne, to run the yacht for us.  Tall, young Connor landed the job as captain and then just had to have his good friend Brianne, whom he met zip lining, return to the Virgin Islands from the United States to run it with him, and for good reason!  Brianne, who lived for years in the Virgin Islands working as a deck hand on day charters had left the islands for the north but was called back by Connor, because she is not just a great sailor, hostess, and chef, she is creative too, a consummate professional when it comes to creating beautiful, theatrical displays for her guests: sea-themed table settings; baskets of towels on deck with flip flops, books, and sun screens.  All her displays are marvelous – a menu on the saloon table – rolled towels on the guest beds, which have color coordinated green and blue cotton spreads on Queen beds, air conditioning and Netflix (one of them is a master stateroom with couch; the other two are ample-sized also!) – and of course Brianne was eager to return.  She loves preparing home-cooked meals; she serves three meals daily, including appetizers, desserts, and drinks. The fly bridge with steering station has bench settee and is a delightful area to sit at sea, enjoying the views, helping with the sailing, listening to music; the bow has awnings that provide shade over the forward cockpit, where there is a bench settee and nets between the pontoons with sun cushions.  Guests enjoy the views at anchor here in cool comfort.  The saloon similarly is a delightful area to sit.  With plenty of air conditioning and natural light, the galley is to port and sitting room is to starboard with dining table that folds away to form a small cocktail table for guests to enjoy a sitting room.  Blue and white Batik throw cushions warm up the area.  Captain Connor Stahl from Colorado, a qualified dive master, delights in taking his guests diving with the yacht’s eight scuba tanks and six BCs, included for certified divers.  He dives with guests.  You can ask Connor anything about the Virgin Islands; he is a wealth of information on the area and sailing, and the fact that he is young in his early thirties and energetic makes him a great captain for children.  Having fun is his motto, and he and Brianne do their fair share of that.

Available year round from St.Thomas for $15,500 to $18,500 weekly all inclusive for parties of six (rates slide according to number in party), BETTER DAYS will move to the Grenadines for September and October before returning to St.Thomas for the November, and guests are welcome to charter her from St. Vincent, if they like.  Christmas week is $22,000 weekly; New Year’s week is $25,000 a week with turnaround day on December 28/29.
