Description:

ANAMEL – This excellent 90’ Admiral motor yacht, built in 2002 received a total refit in 2019; everything is new!  Named for the owner’s niece, Anna Melina, the aft deck dining table, when we boarded in May, 2019, was sprinkled with fairy dust!  Care has been made to weave just the slightest hue of pink through the saloon to  create a pleasing effect.  These colors come in the form of the flower arrangements, the pink juice being served for breakfast, picking up the rose tinted throw cushions on the sofas in the saloon and in the pink dinner chargers and matching napkins.  I should say that the solid wood floors are absolutely gorgeous!   The owner’s wife even painted the hull a slight beige to bring the inside out.

Olga, the chef, had prepared all manner of hors d’oeurves for our arrival, and these were laid out on the buffet in the saloon: little jellos with edible flowers, water with blueberries, and pistachio ice cream with salty caramel, homemade with real butter!  Olga loves preparing Greek cuisine, but she cooks Asian and all manner of different cuisines.  “I am passionate about cooking,” she says.

Captain Kostas is a good communicator; assisted by a crew of five total, there’s George the deckhand, fun and friendly; he takes guests out sporting; Illana, the stewardess, is famous for her awesome cocktails; “The yacht has two fridges, she says.  “I taught history and mythology and studied astronomy and astrophysics, and I am willing to share knowledge.”  She has a degree in child psychology and loves children.

The yacht sleeps ten guests in five staterooms; the full beam master located on the main deck has rust colored throws rolled up onto pillows with shells, hats and magazines, that create a theatrical set; the bathroom comes with products and potions in exotic shaped bottles; this stateroom has a large dressing room, plus closet and safe.  Below is the VIP queen stateroom, nearby is a single cabin with Pullman upper bunk; two twins with lower single beds each have Pullmans.  The yacht is ideal for families, as there are lots of single beds, but two couples would also be comfortable.

With plenty of internet aboard, the yacht has unlimited streaming ability, enough for each guest to stream movies.  The sun deck is purpose built with vibe bed, dining table, boats aft, but these get launched immediately after the yacht comes into port, and only on windy days, otherwise the boats are towed.  Shade covers the entire area in calm weather; and there’s shade on the main aft deck as well.

Sailing from Athens, ANAMEL charters for EUR 49,000 per week during July and August; she reduces this to EUR 42,000 weekly during May, June, September and October.  12% VAT is extra; 30% APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) covers food, fuel, bar, and  dockage), and gratuity is extra.
