Description:

AQUILA – This 121′ Custom aluminum motor yacht sleeping twelve guests in five staterooms is a classic-style yacht, built in 2006 with lots of contemporary art. For aficionados, this yacht has amazing art pieces to excite the senses, as well as three full beam “master” cabins, in addition to two smaller ones for a total of five cabins.  Available from Athens, AQUILA charters for EUR 47,500 weekly in May and October, EUR 55,000 weekly during June and September, and EUR 63,000 weekly during July and August + 12% VAT + 30% APA + Gratuity.  She sleeps 12 guests in 5 staterooms.

Refitted in 2019, the “art boat,” as I call her, is owned by an art collector, probably American, because most of the art aboard is made by American artists, and it’s great stuff.  Afionados of art, the owners wanted to create much more than a luxury yacht when they put the vessel together in 2019….  They wanted an art gallery; they wanted to use the yacht as a facility for holding art, and you can literally punch into your iPhone the code of each art piece onboard and read all about each piece, if you are not familiar with them already.  The art aboard this yacht is breathtaking, stopping you in your tracks.

At the same time the yellow art sculpture in the dining room is the same color as the dining room chairs.   Three pieces in the master cabin alone are by Volpin, one of the top ten artists in Germany, so feeling is the first brush stroke….

3 Full Beam Staterooms in three compartments – One Full Beam VIP King on the main deck + 2 Below deck full beam Masters in second compartment + 2 Twins each with Pullman in 3rd compartment, all with beveled wood paneling, intermixed with modern, abstract art, soft carpets in cream….and private bathrooms.

Saloon: Silvery gray comfortable couches, green arm chairs annd bright yellow dining room table chairs.  Natural wood, sitting room aft on main deck.  Blocks of glass with art scorpion inside.

Fly Bridge – Breakfast of chocolate croissant, fruit platter, proscuitto, jugs of juice, coffee and cheeses greeted us on the dining table up on the fly bridge.  Covered by an awning, there’s shade over the dining table and seating area and sun over the two deck beds aft.  It’s purpose built.

Bow seating – a lovely area.

The crew give gifts of Greek sweets and are ready and prepared.  Captain Stavros Klozoris is assisted by an engineer, deckhand, chef, and first and second stewardesses.

Water Toys: Snorkeling equipment, – Scuba diving equipment – use permitted ONLY with license, Sea doo 250hp & sea doo spark 90 hp, 1 seabob sport, – Water skis, – 4x tubes, 2x canoe, Kneeboard,  2x sup,  2x wakeboard
