Description:

DIVINE – Refitted in 2019 in Italy, this 100’ Posilippo power yacht with 22’ beam is a classic yacht in a modern hull. Built in 2006, she has a highly varnished, gorgeous, mahogany interior that gleams. Artwork in gold frames under indirect lighting hangs  everywhere.  Her charcoal gray rugs contrast nicely with white couches with gray throw cushions, and there’s a silver leopard etched into the glass cupboard.  Satellite TV, chess pieces in silver, silver lamps, and sculptures in white, everything is new.  I appreciate the lovely objects d’art.

This main saloon opens up through floor to ceiling glass doors to the very large and spacious aft deck with dining table seating twelve with wicker chairs.  There’s a television there, a bean bag couch, and shade.  When I was aboard, breakfast was being served: coffee, crackers with prosciutto and melon; and yogurt parfaits.

Chief stewardess Anna showed me around.  Blond from Greece, she was very nice and caring, showing me through the dining room forward of the saloon to the VIP cabin on the main deck, where before was the den.  The yacht sleeps 12 guests in five staterooms.  The master King cabin and second VIP Queen cabin are both the full beam of the yacht, so this yacht is perfect for three couples, and then there are two additional twin cabins below, each with Pullmans for families up to twelve.  All the cabins have television, AC, Satellite TV, and DVD players. The linens are from Cocomat.  The ship makes clever use of mirrors.

The Sun deck feature settees on three sides, two tables, a hard top for shade; it is a nice place to relax underway; the boats get launched, immediately the yacht arrives in port; the crew set up the lounge chairs there, and the sunning begins.

The nice, nice crew of six all work well together.  They all get along.  “Our chef is fantastic,” Anna said. “The second stewardess too is very good.  We communicate well with each other; we have two guys, who are very helpful.  We’re looking forward to welcoming guests.”

DIVINE charters for EUR 53,000 weekly during July and August; EUR 48,000 weekly during May, June, September and October; 12% Vat is extra; as are operating costs; it’s typical to wire a 30% APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) to the crew a month in advance to cover these costs; the captain keeps receipts and settles the bill at the end of the cruise with guests.  Gratuity is for the guests discretion but it expected.
