Description:

This eco-friendly, 47’ Leopard catamaran EXTASEA, designed by Alex Simonis and built by Robertson & Caine in South Africa in 1997 has big personality, made so by her delightful English/South African owner operators Mike and Lesley Blamey.  With 8 years of charter experience, they are an active couple in their late 50s, who do a lot of scuba diving and snorkeling with their guests, and they take a lot of underwater photography of fish and creatures and post them on social media with delightful stories!  Mike and Lesley receive a lot of good time letters.

EXTASEA’s three equal Queen cabins are attractively appointed….  The yacht is ideal for three couples, but families of four are also accommodated, as are one-couple charters; the yacht is a great choice for honeymoon couples. Or if you have something to celebrate, this is the yacht for you.  Mike and Lesley know precisely when to open the champagne!

Yacht captains are typically technology-savvy, and Mike is no exception.  There is an MVIX Multimedia aboard that stores and streams all the yacht’s music, movies, radio and photos online.  Whether you are wanting today’s news or your favorite TV show or movie, or endless music to enjoy on deck while sailing, the player will play almost endlessly and with no ads….

Exta-Sea is an Eco-Friendly yacht. Power is generated from 800 watts of Solar Power by day and a Wind Generator by night.  There are  2 energy efficient fans in each cabin ensuring good ventilation below. Exta-Sea has a 20 gallon/hour reverse osmosis water maker, which operates from the yacht’s solar panels; drinking water is filtered through a carbon filter, giving guests chlorine-free, pure drinking water, omitting the need for plastic bottles. Mike and Lesley incorporate eco-friendly detergents and sprays and cooking methods.   Exta-Sea leaves nothing to chance, as the yacht and crew protect our planet:  “When we cannot sail, only then will we use the engine….”

Since Mike and Lesley are active people, the list of sports activities they offer include water skiing, knee boarding, wake boarding, 8 sets snorkel, beach games, tow tube, two single kayaks, four fishing rods, 4 floating mats, underwater camera, 1 stand up paddle board, and Mike dives with guests; there are 12 scuba tanks aboard plus 6 BCs and regulators, available for $35 per diver per dive for certified divers only; no scuba instruction is offered….  There is much to see under the water in the BVI….

EXTASEA is available fully crewed or with captain only from Tortola.  Half board charters are available as well, a great way to support the local economy by dining ashore and not having to pay for that meal twice, once aboard and another time ashore.
