Description:

FUERTE 3 – Beautifully maintained, 67 foot Lagoon catamaran, built in 2004, accommodates six adults in three, equal, King-bedded staterooms, plus additional bunk bed triple cabin for two extra children on request.  The crew sleeps forward to starboard.  All four guest staterooms have private bathroom with ensuite shower, some of them with stall showers, some without….

With 37 foot beam, you’re talking roughly 2,700 square feet of space aboard this stunningly appointed, high preforming sailing catamaran for six to eight guests with crazy beautiful folk art, collected from the yacht’s world travels through the Pacific Ocean…..

Experienced Crew of Two – Australian Owners from California who employ Australian crew, David and Dawn Chown, who have lived in the Virgin Islands for many years now and know the islands well have been board 5 years; David loves the boat;  David and Dawn have spent 17 years afloat in the BVI.

Performance Sailing – Fuerte, meaning strong in Spanish, the yacht is actually named after the owner, whose sir name is Strong; he lives in California; the yacht offers performance sailing, is spacious, modern and pretty with sleek lines.

Rustic chic saloon – with teak and holly cabin sole, and white walls with teak trim, Fuerte has a traditional, nautical feel in her spacious main saloon with many rustic object d’art and folk art, collected from places like Papua New Guinea. There’s a lounge to port and dining table to starboard. The galley is below in the starboard pontoon, giving more space to guests to use in this sitting room, which opens to the aft cockpit for indoor / outdoor living.

Showers – Two equal King cabins aft each have private bathroom with stall showers, plus one queen cabin forward, plus optional children’s bunk bed cabin is available on request for children only, each have wet heads; that is to say things get wet when showering; but there is storage inside the bathrooms, and there are deck showers too.

Small children only in the triple cabin – beds are short and narrow, and beautifully displayed with teddy bears and toys and various nick nacks for children.  Beautiful photographs in the guest cabins of Cane Garden Bay taken in 1973.

Available year round from Tortola, the three guest cabins have enough room for two King beds and one queen bed, plus there’s a fourth bunk bed cabin available on request for families of eight.

Guest Bathrooms – Each guest cabin has its own ensuite bathroom.  The queen cabin has no stall shower; the two King cabins do have stall showers; the kids cabin also has its own bathroom.

Galley down – With galley located down stairs in one of the pontoons, this leaves the full beam saloon with lots of space for dining to port and lounging to starboard, complete with white walls, red and yellow throw cushions, a deck saloon that offers plenty of air conditioning and gorgeous folk art.

Indoor/outdoor living – the saloon doors open wide to let the breezes through and dining is offered indoors or outdoors.  Most opt to dine out doors, but the choice is yours.  There is no fly bridge, but there is ample space forward on the bow for sunbathing.

Competitive rates for the size – Reasonably priced, from $19500 to $21,500 weekly all inclusive for two to six guests, year round, from Tortola, the yacht charges $26,000 weekly for up to six guests all inclusive for Christmas week and $28,000 weekly for New Years.  Christmas charters must end no later than December 28th; and New Year’s charters must begin on or after December 29th.

Based in Tortola – Fuerte will pick up anywhere in Tortola and the BVI, but she will charge $200 each way for St. Thomas pick ups; that’s $400 roundtrip.

Major Refit in 2014 – A major refit was done in 2014 – new engines, new generators, new refrigerators, new freezers, new air conditioning, new ice maker, all new soft furnishings.

Sports equipment – 17’ Center Console tender with 70 hp outboard, tubes, two stand up paddle boards, Rendezvous diving, swim platform, walk down stern, knee board, wakeboard, off scoop stern boarding ladder, no BVI fishing offered; snorkel gear, two two-person kayaks, beach games, snorkel gear.
