Description:

GRAND DAME – Modern 56’ Lagoon sailing catamaran with 4 equal Queen guest cabins, plus optional 5th cabin for families of ten.  Available year round from Tortola for $24,560 to $27,920 weekly all-inclusive for two to eight guests, except $34,000 weekly all-inclusive for Christmas and New Year; the ten berth rate is available on request;

Rene and Eddie, Crew of 2 – Chef Rene is an artist.  The watercolors onboard are hers.  Plus there is a lovely video of her cooking.  “I love cooking,” she says, “it makes my heart full.”  Their second year aboard, they married during the last charter of last season; a wedding charter; Renee ordered a $12 wedding dress on the fly that looked amazing; she showed me her wedding video.  Their third season in the Caribbean, Renee initially worked as a freelance chef but soon got snapped up.  Eddie fixes everything.  “He is fantastic.”  Knowledgeable of systems, they had a flawless season last year; everybody had a good time.  Hailing from Namibia and Ireland respectfully, Renee’s art of turquoise and the sea is abstract and matches the seahorse throws in the beautifully appointed guest cabins, Zen-like cabins with lots of AC and private bathrooms.

Spacious Aft deck offers out of door dining

Amazing Fly Bridge – Not just a space, filled in with mattresses for sunbathing, this fly bridge has a couch, coffee table, walking space, fly bridge, and sailing station, a comfortable place to sit at sea and watch the sun go down.

Homemade products – Renee makes all the products onboard – body lotion, hand wash, and aroma therapy oils, etc.

Creative Artist – Renee loves making things beautiful.  “That is what I love about cooking.  I am in my element here.”

Parties of Ten – In a pinch the crew give up their cabin amidships to port, an upper and lower single bed cabin, so that a last family member can join the cruise.  A bunk bed cabin, it leaves five guest cabins available to guests…  So the yacht accommodates 10 guests in 5 staterooms with the crew sleeping in the forepeaks, or 8 guests in 4 queen cabins when the crew sleeps amidships to port.

Beautiful Guest Staterooms – Turquoise spreads and turquoise cushions….

Treasure Hunting – Hidden all over the BVI are chests of gold that Renee and Eddie have planted.  They give their guests clues to find them!  Anybody loving puzzles, as I do, anybody loving cracking the code will enjoy this delightful game, this beautiful vessel with her talented, thoughtful crew.
