Description:

Based in the South of France for cruises to Corsica and Sardinia, the 131 ft, UK-built, Princess motor yacht, IMPERIALPRINCESS BEATRICE, gets her name from the shipyard that built her in 2012 and has many unique features.  Operated by eight crew, including her French captain, who dabbles in cooking – Asian and American cuisine – he likes to try new things – there is a professional French chef aboard as well, and all the crew speak English; all speak a bit of Spanish and Portuguese, plus French, ready to receive the yacht’s multinational clientele.   They welcomed us warmly on the aft deck with petit fores of yoghurt and fruit, but it was Clarissa, the agent, who showed me around.

I love the Princess yachts, and this yacht is the largest one I’ve seen.  The main deck aft opens into an elegant marble foyer behind which is a centrally located, comfortable sitting room, where two balconies on both sides of the room open to breezes.  Thsi leads to a dining saloon forward with wide black dining tablle with white chargers and silver Baracuda center piece.  The galley is to port – corridor to the master stateroom is to starboard, past the guest entrance forward and day head.

The master stateroom with officewith strong internet is the full beam of the shp with centerline King, sitting room to starboard, done in browns, tans, and whites, where windows let in lots of light.  His and her dressing rooms one with office and vaniety for her, plus two bathrooms, one with tub for her, the other with shower for him, has gold and black tiles, TV, stone floors and pannelling in tann with black inlay tiles – beautiful!  A large indented ceiling with indirect lighting is centrally located above the King bed.

The yacht sleeps ten guests in five staterooms with four cabins below, and what’s nice about this yacht are her three full beam cabins for three couples.  The two VIP cabins below, plus the master on the main deck deck, are the full beam of the ship.  Well, they’re three quarters of the width of the shp, because their bathrooms take up the last third of the width and have nice tub with jets, plus stall shower, and dual sinks in stone.  The colors are neutral; the furniture modern.  Full Beam VIP number two has sitting room and is also full beam with large bathroom with jet tub, stall shower with glass surround – beautiful.  Two additional twin cabins convert to doubles and have wood walls, velor paneling in gray and leather.  Everything is brand new, shiny and bright, refitting a luxury Super Yacht.

On the upper deck in the sky lounge is the second sitting room with comfortable shiny leather, cream colored couches surrounding an ottoman, large TV, and doors open wide to the aft deck letting lots of natural light and offering out of door dining.  The table is enormous and beautifuly set with sail boats and whales, starfish and shells in baby blue, under a hard top for shade.  The bar is out doors too.  Steps lead to the sun deck with retractable roof, modern furniture, BBQ, and flowing Jacuzzi.  Gray sofas under hard top are in the shade; deck chairs are in the sun aft.  The bar with stools is enormous, and there’s TV and Stepper (exercise machine).  It’s perfect!

Over the side, towed from port to port, is the 38 ft. Fjord Express chase boat, new in May 2019, not an inflatable, fast.  “It offers a dry ride.”

The Portuguese seating area under the captain’s bride, offering the best place to sit coming into port, has a long dining table.   “We’re the first yacht with Port seating to have a dining table,” Clarissa told me, ‘It’s private up here, and there are bunny pads for sunbathing all around.’

The yacht has a supreme beach club aft on the waterline.
