JET STREAM – 45′ Leopard catamaran, built in 1999 with three guest cabins for up to guests guests.

Captain Only Charter – Captain Tim Schaaf offers Jet Stream on a captain only basis, so guests do their own cooking and cleaning and help with the sailing.  The $6,900 weekly rate hasn’t increased in 5 years, and while food, fuel, bar, and dockage are not included in this price, add $840 to the price and that covers fuel, water, garbage removal, ice and mooring balls for the week.  Guests buy and cook their own food.  $410 is the average price to clear immigration into the USVI from the BVI for six people, but you avoid this fee by joining the yacht in Tortola, where the yacht bases.

Three Queen Cabins are offered – Three queen equal cabins are available to guests.  Tim sleeps aft to starboard.  Each stateroom has its own private bathroom.  Sheets and linen are provided.

Tim Schaef, captain and owner of Jet Stream pulled into Nanny Cay with just one engine, which is to say he is a MacGyver.  For catamarans operating under one engine alone are impossible to steer straight. Tim’s delightful sense of humor shows us the real side of operating a yacht in the Virgin Islands.  A personable captain, Tim is easy to get along with, and he has a ton of charter experience in the Virgin Islands; he has chartered Jet Stream in the Virgin Islands for about 20 years.  The yacht is looking really good; we inspected her in November 2019….

Saloon – All the new cushions are in blue, and Jet Stream’s sitting room to starboard of the galley is comfortable and easy to get into, because the table allows plenty of space.

Yacht lengthened Two Feet – The saloon opens through sliding glass doors to the aft cockpit with lengthened pontoons.  Tim added 20 inches to the sugar scoops, creating a longer boat, which now sails faster, and is more stable, and is roomier for snorkelers and swimmers to shower on the stern with and to get in and out of the dinghy.  Lengthening the sugar scoops also helps keep the scoops out of the water, preventing marine growth growing on the scoops that you otherwise have to clean.

Galley – Guests will find a well-equipped galley with two stainless steel sinks, toaster, coffee percolator, gas range and microwave oven.

Amenities – Saloon TV, DVD, CD, sun awnings, generator, stereo, hair dryers, inverter, windscoops, BBQ, 27 opening hatches, iPod/device hookups, deck shower, lare outdoor movie screen in cockpit; watermaker, onboard Wifi.

JET STREAM also charters with a captain and chef for up to four passengers for between $12,700 and $14,700 weekly all inclusive with professional chef Ann Hasted aboard.  Rates slide according to number in party.

Captain Only: 1-6 pax $8,400 and includes fuel, water and mooring ball fees. Doesn’t include dockage, provisions etc.
Fully Crewed not available for Christmas or New Year’s at this time.
