Description:

Except for a brief interlude during June, 2017 when LADY VICTORIA will be in Bermuda, for the America’s Cup, the  excellent, spacious, 120′ Feadship LADY VICTORIA sails annually out of Newport, Rhode Island during the summer and Palm Beach, Florida during the winter. LADY VICTORIA charters for $62,000 a week plus expenses except during Christmas and New Year’s week when she is $70,000 a week. She accommodate six to eight guests in three to four staterooms.  The library on the main deck converts to a 4th stateroom if needed.

Captain Tim Laughridge and his four crew offer exotic beach parties and excellent cusine.  They have a classic, 18′ Riva Junior towed tender from the “olden” days with 190-hp inboard engine that Tim drives really, really fast.  It’s completely restored to concours d’elegance standards.  The crew salute the sunset by cannon… They offer unsurpassed service to guests.

After being introduced to the yachting industry at age 20, Captain Tim Laughridge took to boating like no other person we have ever seen.  As though deciding at first sight that this was the direction he wanted to take in his life, we watched with amazement as Tim tore through the ranks, quickly earning himself a captain’s license, which has now ballooned to a whopping 1600/3000 gross tons Master’s license, given that his career is now over 30 years ago.  Tim is also known for ‘seizing the day.”  Great fun to be with, Tim’s philisophy is ‘the time is always now!’  Captain Timothy brings together an experienced, professional, compatible, and fun-loving crew, and with Timothy’s creative and energetic flair for entertaining, the crew of LADY VICTORIA aim to exceed the expectations of the most demanding clients.

Crew Profiles:
CAPTAIN TIMOTHY LAUGHRIDGE

AMERICAN
A “captain’s captain,” Tim has more than three decades of professional experience and holds a U.S. Coast Guard 1600/3000 gross tons Master’s license. Tim has logged more than 300,000 sea miles, done multiple transatlantic and transpacific crossings, and completed two global circumnavigations. He has captained numerous large vessels—both sail and power—competed in prestigious regattas and offshore races throughout the world, and overseen the construction or major refit of a variety of yachts.

Additional accomplishments include being one of the founders of the high-profile Bucket Regattas in Newport (originally in Nantucket) and St. Barth’s. When not in command of LADY VICTORIA, you may cross his path around the globe participating in the many Superyacht regattas.

Hailing from New England, Timothy is very familiar with the cruising grounds spanning from Nova Scotia to as far south as Key West. He has had many successful charters over the years in Florida and the Bahamas.

During the 3+ years that Timothy has been working with LADY VICTORIA’s owner, he has garnered a reputation for keeping his boats in impeccable condition both in the guest areas and below deck.

ENGINEER DON ABERNANTE
AMERICAN
Don was fortunate to find a true passion at an early age: sailing the seas and traveling abroad. Growing up in a small town he surrounded himself with everything mechanical, from ground up restoration of muscle cars to privately built motorcycles. Don was lucky enough to find another passion in engineering and fabrication. As the years went by he honed his skills through higher education and progressed himself as sole engineer aboard a 160 foot 3-masted schooner at a young age. Don looks forward to bringing his passion for engineering and his outgoing and fun personality to LADY VICTORIA and her guests.
