Description:

SEA GLASS – Large aft cockpit with lovely teak table easily seating eight guests also offers Satellite television and bar. The yacht offers high end living plus fishing from “Scout,” their 30’ tender with two 300 hp outboards, and the yacht has tons of trawling lines and deep sea rods and reels for their charters in the Virgin Islands in the winter and Nassau, Bahamas during the summer, two areas known for its deep sea fishing.  Captain Byron and chef Mollie plus stewardess hire a 4th crew member, a fisherman, depending on guests needs.  Two captains and crew rotate winters for summers, so the crew is always fresh, and captains can visit their families.  The third crew remains aboard the whole time, taking time off here and there.

Because cruising in the Bahamas is ideal in spring, SEA GLASS leaves St. Thomas in April for the Bahamas and returns in October; dates are flexible based on charters.  Despite being hull # 1, the first Horizon 74 built in 2017, SEA GLASS won best yacht over 66 feet at the Tortola charter yacht show in November, 2019.  She has a day head on the aft deck, plus cranes for stowing the tender and jet skis on the upper deck,  which she carries in the Bahamas, but in the Caribbean where waters are calm and jet skis are not allowed due to the number of yachts, the crew tows the tender.  So they place sun chairs aft of the fly bridge in the Caribbean, acting as additional sunbathing area, even though there are deck beds for sunbathing on the coach roof forward.

The whole of the fly bridge is enclosed and air conditioned, where there is a grand table for dining, and a bar with stools, and weather curtains to keep the air conditioning in.  Bryon and Mollie hire a private band to play for New Years, birthdays or anniversaries; the crew string lights, and underway guests like to sit here for the views, while the area is great on rainy days as well.

The four guest cabins each have King-size beds.  One is located forward of the main saloon and is a master stateroom with sitting room and windows all about; two VIP king staterooms are below, and there’s a fourth twin stateroom that’s best as a twin, but it converts to a King berth as well on request.  All the cabins are air conditioned; all have Direct TV; all have Sonar tablets that enable guests to play their own music, or the yacht has its own fabulous play list; all have private bathrooms; Mollie dresses each room beautifully with white wool scarves on the bed, and she makes up the rooms twice a day, so they are always beautiful to look at. The warm burlewood paneling, the small tiles in the guest bathrooms and the vessel sinks all make the interior shimmer. The master stateroom is only one step away from the main saloon, suitable for people with disabilities. A hydraulic lift on the stern lowers the dinghy into the water, but guests can catch a ride and often do.  The menu, no doubt, is just to everybody’s liking, and both chefs will adjust their menus to suit their guests needs. The yacht offers quality in every way.

Available from St.Thomas November to April and Nassau from May through October, SEA GLASS charters for $70,000 weekly all inclusive in the BVI and $55,000 weekly + 30% APA in the Bahamas.  Christmas and New Years’ weeks are sold at $70,000 weekly + 30% APA.  Gratuity is not included.
