David and Lilian Harkness, American owner operators aboard this deluxe 50′ Lagoon catamaran, SEA IO,  worked in IT before retiring to the Virgin Islands.  So the yacht gets it name from ‘chief information technology officer,” only there’s a spin on the word ‘chief” into SEA, as in CEO, and the IO is pronounced I.O, as in CEO, only SEA I O.  After looking at many yachts, what David and Lilian like about SEA IO is the dining table in the deck house saloon, which moves away from the couch.  So if there is rain, guests can have a choice where to eat.  Purchasing her in 2020, this is David and Lilian’s third season in the Caribbean.  Both are certified captains, and when we inspected the yacht, Lilian gave each of us one of her homemade, edible chocolate spoons, a glimpse into her charter galley….

This beautiful 2020 50′ Lagoon sailing catamaran offers two large queen berths each with private ensuite baths including electric heads, vanity and separate showers. The third cabin is a double midship berth that shares a head. The queen cabins and yacht both offer wonderful natural lighting and great ventilation plus full air-conditioning, depending on guests’ desires. The salon will seat up to six guests in comfort for lounging or dining plus with numerous lounging areas, There is plenty of space for gathering as a group or finding a private place for one or two to relax. The aft exterior offers alfresco dining for up to six guests along with spacious top deck seating and lounge area in front of the helm, plus a forward lower deck lounge area behind the trampolines.

Suitable for up to 4-6 guests (see layout). 5th and 6th guests must be comfortable sharing a head with another guest cabin. This yacht is great for 4 pax or 6 pax families. Would also work for 3 couples if the 5th and 6th guests are comfortable sharing a head with another guest cabin.  The midship double cabin is not suitable for 2 adults, only 1 adult or 2 children.
