Description:

The clean lines of SOMETHING WONDERFUL’s infinity-edged aft cockpit and how it flows seamlessly into the yacht’s modern, deck saloon with windows all around with galley with clean lines along the port side make this 2014-built, 58′ Leopard my favorite catamaran in the Virgin Islands.

The on-deck master cabin with front porch is a wonderful place to enjoy coffee in the morning.  The door opening to this porch lets a cool breeze flow through the boat into the saloon….  All the guest cabins below are the same size… The muted colors of the gray and blue throw cushions on the light gray tweed upholstery in the saloon is sophisticated and luxurious.  The dining table folds away to a small coffee table, so space flows, and the area can be used just as easily for cocktails as a dining area.  The saloon opens to an office to starboard forward with a door to the forward cockpit, adjoining the master cabin to port with bed that faces forward through windows looking out onto the cruising ground.  It has a modern bathroom with shower with window into the deck with curtains…

The yacht’s British crew are incredibly nice, smart, and endearing! British Captain Paul Johnson is enthusiastic about sailing; he has a reacher and a spinnacker aboard and says that the yacht’s mainsail with battons is 15% larger than other vessel’s, which makes SOMETHING WONDERFUL faster than other yachts her size!  Paul previously ran the 62′ Lagoon catamaran AVALON in the Virgin Islands and the 82′ Oyster sloop, RAVENOUS, which ran back and forth between the Mediterranean and the Caribbeann each year….  Isabella Matterson, the chef, is South African.  Both joined SOMETHING WONDERFUL in March, 2016….and we will in future be making a point to ask crews how long their contracts are with yacht owners….

The second guest cabin is forward to starboard with Queen bed, Apple TV, and shower with window…  The third guest cabin is amidships with lower twin berths that convert to a double and has air conditioning, Apple TV, windows, porthole in the shower….  The fourth guest stateroom is forward to port, identical to the one forward in the opposite hull, each with air conditioning controls, bathrooms, and there’s a washing machine.

The phenomenal flybridge has Zen-like seating, (similar in elegance to the main saloon) with lounge forward, deck bed aft, wet bar, BBQ, water cooler, bimini.  Watersports include underwater Sea Bobs (motorized propulsion), not commonly found on yachts like this….as well as waterskiis, wakeboard, stand up paddle boards, etc.  Paul and Isabelle grill steaks and burgers up there….

SOMETHING WONDERFUL will charter throughout the Summer of 2017 from Tortola and St. Maarten until August 5th, when the crew will take their holiday, before rejoining the vessel in early November for the start of the winter charter season.

This yacht’s beauty filled me with joy!  I can’t recommend her highly enough!  The design of the cockpit with the table and chairs along the aft end and the rest left as open space is a new design, and it really works!
