Description:

The South African, British, New Zealand, and Australian crew of 13 aboard this 155′ motor yacht enjoy exploring the pristine anchorages and bays of the Mediterranean.  Having explored Turkey, Greece and Croatia last year, they are now basing in Italy and France for Summer 2020, an area Captain Cameron Smith knows well, having operated the Super Yacht NEWVIDA there several years ago.  Many of Cameron’s crew have been aboard several seasons.  Cameron, they say, is ‘enthusiastic,’ ‘organized,’ and ‘fun.’   They look forward to exploring the bay of Naples down to Stromboli and the Aeolian Islands, ending in Sicily, or taking guests out to Sardinia and Corsica.  They’re also flexible to take guests to the South of France, starting in Sardinia or Nice.  All are lovely itineraries and the yacht is flexible to go where guests want her.

British stewardess Claire showed me around.  “She is a 27 year old boat,” Claire said, “refitted in 2018 internally and refitted in 2016 externally.”  The yacht is modern and updated.  Accommodating ten guests in five staterooms, VA BENE has two full beam cabins: four staterooms are below and one is on the main deck.  The full beam master cabin with private study is located on the main deck, and the full beam VIP cabin is located on the accommodation deck.  Two queen staterooms and one double with pullman are below, plus there is a Twin with Pullman below.  The yacht accommodates 12, if family.

The saloon has white carpets and stained teak paneling.  Spacious with lots of little places to sit, four areas to be exact, it is nicely done with television, modern art; the upholstery uses velvets and gold.  The dining saloon forward was prettily set in green and white with flowers and has art sculptures.

Just outside the master stateroom forward is a private study with pullman, forming a suite with the cabin itself, which has centerline King berth, brown silk and color coordinated rust, green silk and tweed throw cushions, wood paneling, couch and dressing room with mirrors.  A large bathroom contains a glass shower plus tub.

The sky lounge opens to a boat deck with a large bar.  Under it the main aft deck has two semi-circular dining tables and settees  and is spacious in blue and white with wicker.  The sun deck offers a Jacuzzi, two tables, settees aft, enormous sunbathing bed, teak decks, shade, BBQ, umbrella, and exercise equipment.
