Hikes and Trails of the BVI

The Virgin Islands have hiking trails that criss-cross the islands – along the shores and through the mountains – that are safe for tourists.  Some you can rent ATVs on; others are for hiking only.  Jost Van Dyke, St. John, Anagada, and Tortola all have trails…and it feels so good to get off the yacht and stretch your legs after a sail.

“One of my favorite things to do on Anegada is to walk the hour and a half to Cow Wreck Beach.  It’s an incredibly surreal walk.  You literally walk for miles, watching the sand, water and sky change colors before your eyes with not a soul in sight. And it’s a great way to earn Belle’s BBQ lunch!”  S/Y Green Flash
Renting scooters on Anegada is a great way to get around and see the whole island in a day.  If you don’t mind getting stuck in the sand every once in a while, you can take the back roads and see some really different parts of the island.
