Romantic Getaways –

Honeymoons, Anniversaries & Valentine’s Day Specials

It’s not surprising that a yacht charter in the Virgin Islands remains one of the most popular romantic vacation options: you can spend long, warm days snorkeling, enjoy afternoon naps in a beautiful master cabin (with galleon windows if you like!), and take sunset walks or picnics along the water. At least, that’s what you’ll find aboard a Nicholson Yacht Charter in the BVI. Whether you’re looking to celebrate a wedding anniversary, Valentine’s Day, renew your vows, honeymoon, or get married in the islands, Nicholson Yacht Charters has the perfect yacht for you.

Many yachts in the Virgin Islands offer romantic honeymoon and/or anniversary specials.  The 72′ Irwin ketch Sandcastle, for instance, includes 1 full case of bubbly, $200 for a romantic dinner ashore at a restaurant of guests choice, a box of Godiva chocolates, and a romantic picnic on a secluded beach in her romantic honeymoon special.  Click here for more honeymoon specials.
Valentine’s Day Dinner aboard the 65’ Privilege catamaran  FELICIA:  Spinach & 3 cheese stuffed chicken breasts, roast rosemary potatoes with carrots & sautéed green beans with almonds & cranberries. Dessert was Hazelnut Mousse served in chocolate lace bowls with fresh strawberries.
Vow renewals aboard 45′ catamaran MADIBA – Captain Pete officiated on the bow, while first-mate Colleen played the role of flower girl as their charter guests re-spliced their lines.
Weddings Afloat – Think S/Y “Akasha” for wedding plans in the Virgin Islands….with plenty of space she is the perfect platform for a group event, and she has a highly motivated crew to take care of every detail. This beautiful hand-made wedding cake was prepared on board by Akasha’s chef Cara for one of two highly successful wedding charters completed last season.
If you have an anniversary to celebrate, Sarah and Richard on the 62′ catamaran SOON COME don’t need much nudging.   This summer they were getting creative, taking a few photos to promote their Sunreef 62, and we have to say, this is our kind of promotion… Bubbles on the flybridge and bubbles in the saloon!  Positively effervescent!
Honeymooners love to charter yachts
A few awesome words from guests who recently chartered the 65′ catamaran, LOLALITA, for their wedding and honeymoon in the Virgin Islands: our bride, groom and one of her bridesmaids:
The trip was amazing! Lolalita is a really beautiful boat that is kept in pristine condition by Ernie, Megan and Jeff. We had a group of six and I think that was the perfect size for this boat. There was plenty of room to spread out. Ernie, Megan and Jeff were an awesome crew! Ernie had the perfect balance between being a tour guide with suggestions for daily activities and also just sitting back and letting us do our own thing. Megan is an excellent cook and did an amazing job keeping the boat looking like a 5-star hotel. She also is a really great person to hang out with and I had a lot of fun getting to know her. Jeff is just an all-around great guy. He was a patient and professional SCUBA instructor, a laid-back and fun friend on the boat and always hard at work with a smile and warm demeanor. I think the combination of this boat and crew is really special and would be great for a wide variety of groups from families with young children to people looking to party and older adults looking for relaxing vacation. I hope to spend time on the Lolalita again soon.

Our last charter of the season…what a fun-lovin’ group!! — 45′ Catamaran S/Y FREE INGWE
Arthur and Sherri just finished a 20th Anniversary charter aboard their 47’ catamaran GREEN FLASH – their guests’ comments are here:
” My husband and I have traveled around the world and have been to some amazing places, but our recent trip aboard the Green Flash was the best vacation we have ever taken! It was the perfect way to relax and thoroughly enjoy ourselves. The Green Flash is a beautiful and very comfortable boat. There are plenty of ways to enjoy the incredible scenery on board. We had so much fun playing with all of the “toys” from snorkeling to kayaking to riding a stand up paddle board. The opportunities for fun are numerous. Chef Sherri prepared amazingly delicious meals that were healthy and fresh. It was a treat to have such great food in such a gorgeous environment.”
AKASHA’s Chef Cara has been baking again… Wow!
